“For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-4 (NLT)
In Ecclesiastes, Solomon reminds us there is a time for everything. When I live by faith, I am acknowledging and accepting His perfect timing for my life. That’s a hard one to swallow. Pause and let that realization resonate in your thoughts.
Not MY timing, but HIS!
A year ago, one of my sorority sisters lost her husband in a tragic accident. I continue to keep Lisa and her family in my prayers. I don’t think it’s by accident that I happened to read Tony Dungy’s book, Uncommon Life, this morning. Today’s devotional reading is about the loss of a loved one. Read the following excerpt from Dungy’s book and touch base with someone special in your life today.
“Uncommon Key: Relationships matter more than anything else, but you never know how long you will have with the people around you. Don’t take them for granted. Make a phone call, send a card, or schedule a lunch date on your calendar today.”
Don’t take the important relationships in your life for granted!
